De­scription of services: Provides education about resident rights to individuals living in long-term care -and residential facilities. Ombudsmen volunteers advocate for residents to ensure resident rights are honored. They assist with conflict resolution between the resident, families and/or facility on an as needed basis. Provide general information about long-­term care and residential facilities. Recruit and train Long-Term Care Ombudsmen volunteers.
