  • Description of services: Alzheimer's Association mis­sion is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain-health programs. Staff and volunteer advocates work with both state and federal legislators and government officials advocating for care, and funding for research and services for families coping with Alzheimer's disease.   • Description of services: CLAIM is the Missouri state health insurance program that meets the needs of Missouri's Medicare population. Certified volunteer coun­selors assist people locally to help them work through health care issues and understand Medicare options or changes. Counselors can answer questions about: Medi­care eligibility, enrollment and claims forms; employment and retirement health benefit questions: supplemental insurance policies: Medicare Advantage (Choice) options, such as HMOs and PPOs: Medicare-approved discount cards and Medicare Part D; long-term care planning, and public benefit programs. We have no fees and our hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm. Monday - Friday.
