Description:
The
Sexual Assault Victims Care Unit (SAV-U) provides services to elderly,
adult, and child victims of sexual assault/abuse and their significant
others. The services include:24 hour crisis intervention, 24 hour
medical advocacy to provide information and support during evidence
collection at local hospitals, legal advocacy at police departments
and court proceedings and short and long term counseling to facilitate
the process of healing and recovery. Community education and
professional trainings are available upon request. All services are
provided free of charge.
